Honoring Tradition with Craftsmanship, Reshaping Life with Passion

In the spring of 2020, we spent a year delving deep under the careful guidance of veteran craftsmen, studying everything from leather properties to handcrafting techniques one by one.

Later, with the encouragement and support of our mentors, we, as students, formed a vegetable-tanned leather creation team.

The birth of our studio is not just a venture driven by passion, but an unwavering commitment to the original intention of handmade leathercraft.

We have always adhered to the core philosophy:

No mass production. Only handcrafted.

From intimate cardholders and wallets to travel bags that carry journeys, and even furniture series integrated into daily life, every piece embodies the warmth of craftsmen’s hands and the delicate accumulation of time.

Rejecting Industrial Replication, Safeguarding the Soul of Handcraft

Our refusal to pursue large-scale production is not a rejection of business, but a desire to protect the purity of handcraft.

Two pieces of the same design will inevitably differ subtly due to the natural variations in leather texture and slight inconsistencies in hand-stitching.

This “imperfection” infused with the warmth of handcraft is precisely the unique soul of handmade leather goods — just as tree rings record growth, every wrinkle and stitch tells a story of focus during creation. We never hide these traces;

instead, we regard them as the craftsman’s unique signature, allowing users to feel the weight of time through touch. 

Materials and Dedication

Meticulous Leather Selection

At its core, vegetable-tanned leather (tanned with vegetable tannins) is used, preserving the natural textures of cowhide such as inherent wrinkles, pores, and scars, with a warm, smooth touch. Each piece of leather undergoes rigorous screening, endowing the work with unique vitality through these natural marks.

Refined Hardware Crafting

Solid copper hardware develops a vintage patina after oxidation, boasting high ductility (enabling intricate craftsmanship). It is durable, easy to maintain, and eco-friendly, seamlessly complementing styles like minimalist and vintage. It combines practicality with sophisticated design appeal.

Ingenious Lining Pairing

The interior features a selected pairing of canvas and vegetable-tanned leather, rooted in natural materials and integrating durability, vintage charm, and eco-friendly principles. The vegetable-tanned leather develops a unique patina with use, endowing the product with a sense of exclusivity; the canvas, lightweight and wear-resistant, supports daily use. Both complement each other in style, jointly creating a design that balances functionality and emotional appeal.

From Daily Companions to Spatial Art

Small & Medium Items: Intimate Warmth

Card holders/wallets: Crafted from 2-3mm thick vegetable-tanned leather, with edges hand-rounded and polished repeatedly for a delicate, baby-skin-like touch. A unique trait of vegetable-tanned leather is its gradual evolution into a warm, mellow hue over time—bearing exclusive traces of years gone by, its surface texture grows richer with use.

Bags: Main leather and brass hardware fit precisely together, while the inner fabric is carefully selected to boost durability without adding extra weight. Many designs feature classic blue-and-white striped linings, which naturally blend with the vintage tone of vegetable-tanned leather for a cohesive style. 

Large Items: Vessels of Time

Travel bags: A single travel bag requires a full 30-inch cowhide. Soft-edged sections of the raw hide are cut and discarded; scarred areas, rough spine textures, and prominent blood vessel marks are all avoided. Only after multiple rounds of selection can enough leather be gathered—every inch carries profound care.

Furniture series: From small stools to vegetable-tanned leather sofas, the fusion of leather and solid wood breaks the coldness of traditional furniture. Our handcrafted leather lampshades demand 2 days of repeated shaping and calibration by artisans. Retaining natural hand-pressed textures, they infuse functional objects with artistic warmth.

In an era chasing “speed,” we choose to “slow down.”

While mass-produced items fade with time, handmade leather goods grow warmer and more luminous with use. This “time-enhancing quality” is the meaning of our persistence.

As our mentor once said: “Leather goods carry a sense of timelessness; full-grain leather develops different lusters over time — that’s its true soul.”
